Have you ever woken up with a stiff neck and blamed it on sleeping the wrong way? Well you’re correct! The positions you sleep in affect your body in different ways.

Early ankylosing spondylitis (a form of Arthritis) is when your joints in your spine become inflamed due to incorrect posture. It causes stiffness and pain, swelling and limited motion in the lower back, middle back, heels, chest wall, and hips. If not treated it can lead to advanced ankylosing spondylitis which is when the joints in the spine fuse together causing a bent-forward posture also known as “hunchback” posture. People who are prone to suffering from AS are people who typically hunch over a computer for work or while at home.
At Move Well MD we believe in non-surgical and alternative treatments to give you the most comprehensive care by combining the best of Western/Eastern medicine. This will allow you to start moving and functioning the way your body was designed and to prevent future problems. Although the non-surgical treatment plans take time and dedication to heal there are incredible long-term benefits.
